The Late Show host Stephen Colbert talked about his Christian faith on national TV and how it relates to his work in comedy in a new interview with pop star Dua Lipa last week.

Colbert did the work of 1 Peter 3:15. He was asked the reason for his hope that death is not defeat and gave his personal testimony that showed how his faith affected what he did in his day to day life. Some have said he should have been more specific about Jesus’ cross and resurrection, but I think he did a great job. Colbert spoke with integrity, gentleness, and respect in a manner that invites further conversation, and that’s a win.
